This blue-chip food manufacturer wanted to expand production into Eastern Europe.

After working with the senior leadership team to define the scope, budget and timescale of the project I managed the implementation of the green field factory end-to-end over a 3 year period.

I worked closely with logistics teams to ensure incoming materials supply, the project team for the design, build, technology installation, commissioning, and qualification of the new plant, HR to define the recruitment and training plan, and Production, QA, FICO and Supply Chain to build the departments capable of supporting the operation. I then worked further with supply chain to define the delivery channels from the factory.  

This was a fast track project, it took us only 9 months from cutting the first earth to making the first trial product and 5 months later we were in commercial production.

The project was delivered on time and under budget with the success criteria met of 80% efficiency, losses under 0.5%, cost comparable with the other sites in the group by the end of the first year of operations & delivering 260m consumer units.
