I am pleased to show my PMP certificate for the next 3 years.

The great thing with PMP is to maintain your certification you have to collect a certain number of PDU’s (professional development units). You achieve these by attending webinars, contributing to the PMI knowledge bank or mentoring. I have found it interesting, particularly to attend webinars from outside my field of project management (large capital projects) and to understand how problems are solved in other industries.

At a very basic level we all have the same challenges; such as scope creep, managing stakeholders expectations, managing information flows and ensuring that the project delivers the original scope. Learning from other industries also brings in new skills related to agility and being able to flex the project to meet the updated client needs.
